Thousands upon thousands of people log on and play online bingo everyday and they are not just confined to any geographical region either as they play from all over the world. If you have never considered playing the game on the Internet before then the choice and options that are available can, at times, be a bit overwhelming however the most important thing is that you get the most from bingo online.

One of the best ways to do this is to check what introductory offers there are when you sign up to the various web sites and companies such as Paddy Power bingo. Many companies will try and entice you to choose them over anyone else so it is worthwhile ‘shopping’ around so to speak and comparing. If one company offers to match your initial bid of up to £20 so that – by depositing £20 – you actually get £40 worth of credit because the bingo website has put £20 of their own money into your account – then that may seem like a great deal and to all intents and purposes, it really is. However by having a quick search of the various websites and companies that you can play bingo online with and you could maybe even find a better deal.

The reason why people do still attend bingo balls is for its social connotations and the fact that you can play bingo but still interact with other players and friends at the same time; however you do not need to miss out on this when it comes to playing online. Just about every bingo room on the web will have an online chat feature and you can still converse and socialize with people with your area or even from the other side of the world using this feature.

Just about everyone has tried a slot machine at some time or another. They are often the easiest casino game to play as all you need to do is put in your money, hit spin and await the outcome. However, what about playing these slot games online and what do progressive jackpot slots have over other machines? The basic premise of a progressive slot machine is the same as any other; you put money into the machine and hit the button to make it spin and the object is to match a certain number (usually 3) of the same icons in order to win money.

However, the progressive slots are slightly different in that they take a small amount off each spin and add it to the jackpot so that it increases. While in normal slot machines each machine will have its own jackpot and that will be set with progressive ones they can rise as you put more money in and spin more. In addition, progressive jackpot slots can be networked over several machines so that there could be yourself and a few other people adding to the overall amount of money that you can win meaning that the jackpot will rise considerable, therefore, you can win more..
These slots also come in different themes as well. Soccer Safari has a unique sport and safari theme to it that is unlike anything else while the Tomb Raider 2 slot is based upon the game of the same name and you have to match the icons in the same line to win. If you get 5 passport symbols then you unlock a stunning 3d game that allows you to win even more coins (and therefore real money) while travelling the globe to find the lost sword – the fight scene with Lara’s archenemy, Amanda, is particularly enjoyable.

Since ice hockey is one of the most popular sports around the world, it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise that there are many free ice hockey games out there for you to play – many of them being fairly realistic as well.
The game Ice Hockey for example gives you the opportunity to hone your accuracy skills and ability with the mouse. You take control of an attacking player and your object is to get the puck into the net while trying to avoid the defenders. Your computer mouse is all you need to play as this is used for both direction and power; although the temptation may be to hit the puck with all your strength, this can affect its accuracy so a combination of both is needed for success.

If it is realism in graphics that you look for with ice hockey games then Molson Pro Hockey perhaps comes closest to the real thing. Visually very good for a flash based game with realistic players and background, the object is similar to the aforementioned Ice Hockey game as you take over an attacking player and the mission is to score past the goalkeeper however it is slightly easier as the puck does not move about as much as in Ice Hockey and you do not have any defenders helping to guard the goal.

Not only are these games realistic and free to play but they also have a built in multiplayer mode where you can challenge your friends and see who can get the most points. Graphically Molson Pro Hockey probably edges it but they are both very enjoyable, easy to learn and considering that all you need is your mouse to set the direction and power of the puck, you will be able to become a pro in no time.

What do you get when you put Akira Yamaoka, Shinji Mikami and Goichi Suda in a room together? Apparently, what they came up with is ‘Shadows of the Damned,’ a gore-filled, dark thriller that takes place in – you guessed it – hell. The main character, Garcia Hotspur is interesting enough, but its the demons, weapons and various challenges that will really peak your interests.

The game itself is fairly short, and aside from a few difficult boss fights you will find yourself breezing through the storyline. What is refreshing is the fact that ‘Shadows of the Damned’ is unapologetically offensive. If you cringe at toilet humor and find sexist jokes appalling, then you might just want to look at the latest titles from Disney. On the other hand, dedicated gamers will thoroughly appreciate the work of art that Suda, Mikami and Yamaoka have created.

While scouring hell for Hotspur’s lost girlfriend, Paula, you’ll need a couple of severed goat heads and an old demon named Johnson. The objective is to get past your arch enemy Fleming’s flunkies, avoid the shadows and make off with Paula before anyone notices. The trouble is that you are playing a character that is undeniably human while trying to make allies while in hell. ‘Shadows of the Damned’ is entertaining, inappropriate and highly addicting. If you are looking for a new game title to play after spending hours trying to beat the latest in the ‘Final Fantasy’ series, this one has your name written all over it.

The one thing that makes video game retailers more mad than the idea of unlicensed titles is the idea that they might become obsolete altogether. Welcome to the digital age. Consumers want to get access to their purchases instantaneously, which means that they are more likely to surf the web until they are able to download the newest video game rather than to risk taking a trip to the local mall.

Some video game retailers have responded by setting up their own web portals. Gamestop offers almost all of the games that it sells in stores online, but there’s a catch – gamers have to wait for their new titles in the mail. Even video game console manufacturers are somewhat worried. Downloadable expansion packs were profitable at first, until gamers realized that they could bypass consoles altogether.

There will always be those that prefer to play their games on the television sets, but a growing group of game players are looking for savings first and experience second. Cloud technology and more advanced peripherals for computers have helped to popularize online gaming. Video game consoles have been around for 40 years – just a few years shy of the invention of the personal computer. While Microsoft and Nintendo are coming up with exciting new ways to introduce gaming to people who have never been interested in the pastime before, the state of the economy is causing others to shy away. Hopefully, gamers will learn how to live with their computers and consoles in harmony one day.

First there were RPGs, then came MMORPGs and MOS format has become standard in all online role playing games. ‘Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising’ doesn’t offer particularly impressive graphics, and the storyline is simplistic enough, but users have responded incredibly well during the game’s beta testing mode. It seems that online players are more concerned about being able to chat with their friends in real time than they are about playing the most advanced games.

‘Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising’ comes on the heels of the success of ‘Spartacus: Blood and Sand,’ which is a gory television show based in ancient times. Players are able to navigate through ancient Rome, challenging other players that are logged in. What is impressive is the fact that users can pretty much make their characters look like whatever they want. Of course, the costume selections are somewhat limited, being that the game is based in ancient Rome and all.

As players continue conquering their opponents, they will gain both prestige and skill. All fights take place in an arena type setting. Sometimes gamers are able to take part in grueling multi-player duels, complete with weapons and special attacks. During the remainder of the game, players are permitted to aimlessly wander around and go site seeing. Although the backgrounds are good looking, this is probably the most boring element of ‘Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising.’ Overall, ‘Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising’ is good for online gaming fans, but it is not nearly as exciting as other MOS titles that are available.

If you are a fan of racing games then you will love “Motorstorm Apocalypse.” Set in a city that is being ripped apart by earthquakes and other earthly forces, your job is to navigate complex race tracks while avoiding being pushed off your bike by wind, water or fire. Of course, the game developers must have a macabre sense of humor in order to create a game that centers around racing while everyday citizens are having their lives torn apart. This game might be a bit too much for those that witnessed the recent natural disasters in Haiti and Japan.

The graphics are incredibly realistic – which might be why it got a ‘Teen’ rating. You can play “Motorstorm Apocalypse” on your 3D TV for even an even more interactive feeling. Players can cycle between 13 race tracks, but every time you play there will be a different outcome. The track can crack, splinter or be completely destroyed at any moment. As you progress, “Motorstorm Apocalypse” will get harder. Instead of selecting a skill level, the game automatically increases in difficulty until you are unable to go any further. At this point you will need to pay more attention to the types of disasters that are happening to you so that you are able to anticipate what happens next.

Overall, “Motorstorm Apocalypse” provides hours of fun for racing enthusiasts. If you can manage to stomach images of typhoons, earthquakes and cyclones taking half of the city and your fellow racers away, this is definitely the game for you.

Titled “School Shooter: North American Tour 2012,” the developers of the game are completely unapologetic. In fact, members of Checkerboarded Studios admit that they were inspired by the tragic events of the Virginia Tech shooting as well as Columbine. The basic premise of the game is to shoot school students, but the message itself is much more dangerous. Lawmaker and concerned parents have long argued that violent video games have led trouble children to make life altering decisions. Following the shooting that took place at Columbine High School in 1999, the US Congress convened to debate whether or not violent music and video games played any part in the event.

The video game industry has worked to distance itself from these types of negative connotations, but just one game may threaten years of progress. What makes “ School Shooter: North American Tour 2012” truly controversial is the fact that the main character and the weapons used are modeled after perpetrators of school violence. The PC game awards gamers points for each violent act committed. Although most people are able to separate fantasy from reality, the gaming community has been shocked by the developer’s sheer and unadulterated lack of empathy. It is only a matter of time before this PC game is banned in various countries around the world, but it is clear that the game makers themselves will likely cash in from marketing their game to angst ridden teens. If another act of school violence breaks out Checkerboarded Studios may have a hard time arguing their case.

Although this latest study by Continental Tyres shows that devoted gamers are more likely to perform unsafe driving maneuvers, there are a few context clues that show that this behavior is rather isolated. First, the study shows that gamers who prefer titles such as, “Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit,” often take things too far when they are on the road, these gamers also spend many hours a day simulating high risk driving moves. The vast majority of gamers play games that range from first person shooters to RPGs and puzzle games, therefore the biggest fans of racing games are much more likely to be fans of racing in general.

In addition to practicing unsafe driving, more extreme gamers are also believed to increase their risk of being involved in roadway accidents. What was not released in the study was whether or not these drivers were new and inexperienced or had racked up numerous driving infractions before they started to play racing games.

It is completely possible that some gamers are unable to separate real life driving situations from fantasy, but the demographics of gamers in general put them into a higher risk category. Most gamers are male, ranging from the ages of 14 to 50. Auto insurers few single males under the age of 30 as one of the highest insurance risks across the board. Since they are already viewed as a liability, it is likely that the study just happened to pick up on a phenomenal that was already well apparent.

Video games already carry standard parental advisory stickers that tell buyers which age groups they are appropriate for, but US Representative Joe Baca wants more. Baca and US Representative Frank Wolf believe that there are enough studies that show that long-term exposure to violent video games can actually lead to similar behavior. The bill, named the Video Game Health Labeling Act would require all video game retailers to further categorize and label games that have been deemed as extremely violent.

Although both Baca and Wolf cite literature produced by several well respected universities as well as the Pediatrics Journal, the opinions of these experts fall just short of alleging that exposure to violent video games actually causes anti-social and destructive behavior. In their opinions, putting surgeon general labels on video games is akin to the sort of warnings that appear on cigarettes. While some smokers will never develop illnesses as a result of exposure to tobacco products, there is really no basis of comparison between the two.

There have been several studies, one recently published by government officials in Australia, that show that there is absolutely no correlation between violent offenders and video games that contain mature content. The US Surgeon General is responsible for educating and warning US citizens on potentially danger products and behavior, however, gaming may not fall into the department’s jurisdiction. The bill proposed by Wolf and Baca has not yet been voted on, but is is likely that leading members of the gaming industry will be present during the debate.
