If you are a fan of racing games then you will love “Motorstorm Apocalypse.” Set in a city that is being ripped apart by earthquakes and other earthly forces, your job is to navigate complex race tracks while avoiding being pushed off your bike by wind, water or fire. Of course, the game developers must have a macabre sense of humor in order to create a game that centers around racing while everyday citizens are having their lives torn apart. This game might be a bit too much for those that witnessed the recent natural disasters in Haiti and Japan.
The graphics are incredibly realistic – which might be why it got a ‘Teen’ rating. You can play “Motorstorm Apocalypse” on your 3D TV for even an even more interactive feeling. Players can cycle between 13 race tracks, but every time you play there will be a different outcome. The track can crack, splinter or be completely destroyed at any moment. As you progress, “Motorstorm Apocalypse” will get harder. Instead of selecting a skill level, the game automatically increases in difficulty until you are unable to go any further. At this point you will need to pay more attention to the types of disasters that are happening to you so that you are able to anticipate what happens next.
Overall, “Motorstorm Apocalypse” provides hours of fun for racing enthusiasts. If you can manage to stomach images of typhoons, earthquakes and cyclones taking half of the city and your fellow racers away, this is definitely the game for you.
